He is Barry Dalton who teaches English at the St. Rose of Lima's College, Sha Tin, Hong Kong. He said he loved my rendition except that my choice of "tingling-o-tingling" to begin the poem may not go well with the "bleak(ness)" of line 2. I told him I too wasn't happy and said I had originally penned "lingering-o-lingering". We agreed this was a good choice. I have now decided to begin the poem with "Ling'ring-o-ling'ring" and have revised the poem and notes accordingly. Andrew W.F.
